No Fixed Address service

Opening a bank account without a fixed address

Addressing homelessness

HSBC UK’s No Fixed Address programme is a specialist service available in selected branches to help people without a fixed home address open a bank account in a safe place.

If you or someone you know is facing housing issues, you can get support from the housing and homelessness charities in your area.

How to apply

To access the No Fixed Address programme, you must be experiencing homelessness or housing difficulties and receiving support from a registered charity or organisation. To find out if your local charity is registered, please reach out to them directly.

At the appropriate time, a caseworker from the charity will contact your local participating HSBC UK branch to arrange an appointment to open an account.

Once the appointment is completed and your account has been opened, any correspondence from HSBC UK (including your debit card and PIN) will be sent to the address used to open the account.
